After having attended the sailing school, the more enthusiastic students can become part of our racing team. The youngest members can become part of the Optimist class team.
Their trainer, Ivano Cerini, prepares them to start the first sailing season on the XII Veneto area racing fields.
At the end of this training, which we refer to as pre-competition, the athletes will be ready to continue with another instructor, Salvatore Prinzivalli, and also race on national and international racing fields.
The older athletes, from 12-14 years, on the other hand, join the Laser Team under the guidance of the sailing instructor Paolo de Angelis and train at the open sea base in Cavallino. Our top athletes in this class were Silvia Zennaro and Laura Cosentino. Silvia took part in the recent 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
